- 10 Cups Mini Marshmallows
- 6 Cups Lucky Charms
- 6 Tablespoons Butter
- Nonstick Cooking Spray
Slice your butter into chunks and combine it with 8 cups of mini marshmallows in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Immediately stir until the marshmallows are no longer chunky and the butter is fully mixed in.
Add the remaining 2 cups marshmallows and 5 cups Lucky Charms to the melted marshmallows and gently fold together until the cereal and unmelted marshmallows are fully covered.
Spray a 9x13 cake pan with nonstick cooking spray. Spread cereal mixture into pan in an even layer into prepared pan.
Sprinkle the remaining cup of Lucky Charms over the top and lightly press to ensure it sticks to the top.
Let rest for about an hour or until set. Slice and enjoy!
If you want super thick rice krispie treats, double the recipe or use an 8x8 pan, except for the cup of cereal on the top. That will remain the same, unless you want less.
Don’t press the mixture down into the pan too hard or you’ll make the treats tough. They’ll pack really tight making them like jerky tough. Believe me…I made this mistake before. Don’t do it!
You can make the butter and marshmallow mixture in the microwave instead of the stove top, if desired.
Store the Lucky Charms bars in an airtight container or wrapped in plastic wrap at room temperature.
