Apple Whiskey Sour

The delicious flavors of fall in a whisky cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon whiskey
  • 1 oz. lemon juice
  • 1 oz. simple syrup
  • 1 oz. apple cider or apple juice
  • ½ oz egg whites
  • Ice
  • 1 sprinkle cinnamon
  • Fresh lemon slices or lemon wedges apple slices, and cinnamon sticks for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill your glass a little over halfway with ice.
  • Add bourbon, simple syrup, lemon juice, egg whites.
  • Give the drink a dry shake in a cocktail shaker. This will froth the egg whites.
  • Add ice to the cocktail shaker, and shake again.
  • Pour into glass and float Apple cider over egg whites using cocktail spoon.
  • Garnish with fresh lemon wedges or slices, fresh apple slices, and cinnamon sticks.
  • Sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon.

Notes

    • A dry shake is done without ice. 
    • Garnish with fresh lemon wedges or slices, fresh apple slices, and cinnamon sticks, if desired.
    • This drink can also be served over ice. 
    • To make a Caramel Apple Whiskey Sour, use Crown Royal Salted Caramel Whiskey.
