Red White and Blue Trifle
This Red White and Blue Trifle is a perfect dessert any time of year. Strawberries and blueberries make it a great 4th of July treat.

- 1 white cake mix
- 2 eggs for cake
- ⅓ cup oil for cake
- 1 cup strawberries washed and destemmed
- 1 cup blueberries washed
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 package 3.4 ounces instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups milk
Prepare cake mixr according to package directions.
Bake in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs (do not overbake).
Cool on a wire rack; cut into 1 inch. pieces
While cake is baking, preapre cream by whipping cold heavy cream on high speed in a stand mixture. Add sugar and beat until peaks form. Keep refrigerated until cake is done,
In another bowl, whisk milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes; let stand for 2 minutes or until soft-set.
For each trifle, place 3-4 pieces of cake in small mason jar or bowl.
Add about ¼ cup of strawberries and top with about 3 tablespoons of pudding. Follow with a layer of blueberries.
Spoon about ¼ cup of whipped cream mixture over the top. Repeat layers once more.
Top with a few pieces of fresh fruit.
