- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup butter softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 ½ cups flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Heat oven to 350 degrees f.
In a large mixing bowl, mix together first 5 ingredients. In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients.
Gradually add dry ingredients (except chips) to the creamed mixture.
Add chocolate chips and combine.
Roll into 1" balls. Place cookie dough balls onto greased or parchment covered cookie sheet
Bake 11 - 13 minutes until light brown.
- Don't overmix dough. Over-mixing can lead to tough cookies. Mix the dough just until the ingredients are combined.
- Cookies will be soft when they come out of the oven.They will continue to firm up as they cool.
- Baking time may vary depending on oven and climate.
- Let the cookies cool completely on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack.
- Store in an airtight container.
