Ingredients

  • 12 Large Stemmed Strawberries
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • Wash the strawberries and let dry.
  • Heat the chocolate chips in the microwave on 50% power for 45 seconds at a time until chocolate is melted. It will vary by microwave so check after each round.

Notes

  • For best results, use room temperature strawberries so that the chocolate will not set to quickly.Make sure that you dip dry strawberries in the chocolate.
  • You can make these the morning of or the day before, but more than that and they will start to break.
  • If the chocolate is still a little thick, you can add a teaspoon of shortening or add a little bit of coconut oil, and pop in the microwave at 50% power for about 10 seconds.
  • You can also melt chocolate using the double boiler method.
  • Store leftover chocolate strawberries in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • You can use milk chocolate chips or white chocolate chips instead if desired.
