Homemade Chicken and Rice Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 cartons chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 cups skinless and chopped cooked chicken
  • 1/4 cup onion chopped
  • 2 celery stalks chopped
  • 2 carrots peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/3 cup long grain rice

Instructions

  1. In a pot over medium heat, place all ingredients in pot.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 20--25 minutes until rice is tender.
