I had a unique opportunity this week to participate in a focus group for Johnny Rockets. Johnny Rockets is well-known for the delicious hand-crafted original hamburgers and fountain drinks, and now they are working on creating additional vegetarian burger options to add to their chef-inspired menu. It's like comfort food you remember with a modern twist.
Johnny Rockets operates more than 340 franchise and corporate locations in 26 countries around the world. Each year, Johnny Rockets serves 17 million Hamburgers, 11.3 million soda pops, 8.3 million hand spun shakes and malts, 8 million pounds of Fries, 2.1 million orders of Onion Rings and 815,000 gallons of ice cream.
The mood was festive and the anticipation of the tasting among the guests was high. Johnny Rocket really wanted to know our honest opinions on the food we were testing. I have worked with Johnny Rockets in the past and am a fan of their food. They have a great way of bringing people together to enjoy their great food.
I sat at the counter and perused the songs on the jukebox while I waited for my first tasting. We were only allowed to have water while sampling the various burger patties, with no condiments at all, so that we could really focus on the patty itself.
One by one we tasted five different styles of vegetarian burgers. We were not told what was in them, however I was able to guess some of the flavors in the patties. We were giving scoring sheets in order to write things like texture, taste and seasoning.
Each burger tasted completely different from one another. It was fun comparing the flavors of the burger and sampling each on. My favorites were B and E.
It was a fun experience and I am looking forward to seeing which options end up on their menu!
But that is not all. The kind folks at Johnny Rockets and Gigasavvy provided me with a fun be original gift pack for one lucky Organized Island reader. Just in time for summer!
The gift pack includes two free Johnny Rocket hamburger meals, one T-shirt (size medium), and one pair of sunglasses. Giveaway open to US residents 18 and over. Giveaway ends at midnight on June 30, 2016. To enter leave me a comment and tell me what do you think makes a burger awesome?

Yum. I could go for some. Johnny Rockets right now! Instant pregnancy craving has been triggered lol. To make a great burger in my opinion it must be well seasoned, have lots of cheese, and a toasty bun. I love a good burger.
Raquel
Yes to the toasty bun! Now I am hungry too! 🙂
Raquel
Well seasoned is a must for me too Alexandra!

Bacon always makes everything better! But also love when the burger itself has been prepped with plenty of seasonings! 🙂
Raquel
Ahhh! Bacon DOES make everything better doesn't it Taylor?

Sounds like a fun (and delicious) day! Johnny Rockets isn't in my immediate area, but close enough that I am near one a few times a year - now I want to roadtrip to the closest one!
Raquel
I think a road trip to Johnny Rockets sounds awesome!
