I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend. It was a lovely weekend here in Southern California. Lots of sun and we had quite a bit of wind here too. I saw most of my family this weekend and enjoyed a concert too.
A few weeks ago, my friend Tamara wrote a taking stock post that I really liked and so today I am taking a self-assessment of sorts. This is what I am up to right at the moment.
MAKING my task list for the week. This is truly the best part of a Monday.
COOKING fruit crepes with fat-free whipped cream for dessert. They were so good and thinking I am going to make more another day with the Chocolate Raspberry Jam that is in the refrigerator.
DRINKING a half-caff coffee because I am trying to drink less caffeine, but am holding out on giving it up completely.
MISSING Easter egg hunts with the kids. How does that time go by so fast?
HOPING that my dentist appointment this week to have a crown replaced is more pleasant than I am imagining.
RESEARCHING things to see and do in Austria as that is my next big trip.
WISHING that my dentist appointment was already over. See above. Can you tell I do not like going to the dentist?
ENJOYING the memories from the Maroon 5 concert I went to this weekend. It was a great show and Adam was amazing! I had not been to the recently renovated Los Angeles Forum in years and the sound system is so much better than it once was.
WAITING for my Shoes of Prey order to come in.
LOVING The Voice this season and every other season. I am amazed at the capabilities of these young artists.
PONDERING how I am going to recreate the amazing Bacon Cheddar Buttermilk Biscuits I had at Manhattan Beach Post this weekend. I am definitely going to have to go back there for research. The food was fabulous!
NEEDING to go to the gym this week but definitely going on a walk tonight.
ORGANIZING my closet for the spring/summer seasons. I usually do this twice a year to get rid of things I no longer where.
READING Yes Please, by Amy Poehler. It is an interesting and humorous look on her comedy career. My next book is Girl on a Train and it sits patiently on my nightstand for me.
WATCHING Exodus: Of Gods and Kings. I thought Christian Bale did a pretty convincing job of being Moses and the special effects were really good. The movie was ok...
WANTING another cup of coffee and to continue writing but my day job calls.
What are you up to? Leave a comment with three of these prompts and tell me what you are up to this week.
Gracielle
Your posts are always so great with ideas and projects! But it was nice to read about what you were up to in this post (in a non creepy way). I hate going to the dentist, too. Maroon 5! I would love to see Adam Levine in concert someday 🙂 My kids were all about the Easter Egg hunt this weekend and we enjoyed every minute of it!
Raquel
Thank you Gracielle! Adam was SO good, I hope you get to one of their concerts. Oh I love that the Easter Egg hunt was a big and fun success! I love that your kids enjoyed searching for them! 🙂
Tamara
I'm so glad you used this fun prompt!!
Last week was my trip to the dentist and I couldn't wait for it to be over. I kept thinking, "By this time on Thursday, it will have happened." And it happened indeed.
I have Girl on the Train on hold at my library! It's incredibly popular so I may have to wait awhile.
Raquel
Thanks for the prompt inspiration Tamara! Dentist appointment over and mouth is a little sore, but so glad the worst is over. I look forward to discussing the book with you!

Crepes sound delicious, and a trip to Austria sounds wonderful!

Girl on the Train is on my Kindle waiting for me to start!
Just finished my last cup of tea for the day!
Missing my college boy, but he called home to wish his dad a happy birthday tonight 🙂
Have a terrific week!!
Jamie
