What I am Loving Right Now

Sharing is caring!

Happy Friday! I love the freedom that comes with Fridays and the free time available on the weekends that I am able to celebrate life with family and friends. Today I wanted to share with you some a few things I am loving lately!

First of all, I am loving all the "pumpkiness" that is around. The pumpkin treats, pumpkin shakes and pumpkin beers all just taste so great this time of year.

Other things that make me smile include all the Halloween decor and baked treats. I am going to decorate some pumpkins this weekend and I cannot wait.

I am also loving baking with pumpkin. You may recall I recently made a pumpkin mug cake and Pumpkin Pecan Cookies. I have also incorporated the flavor of pumpkin in a few breakfast items.

I am especially loving all the fall cooking and baking shows on TV too. As you know I am already a big fan of shows like Masterchef and Holiday Baking Championship. Well, when I saw that my friend Ashlee is currently on the Halloween Baking Championship on The Food Network, I was so excited so I taped the series! I do not know if she wins yet because it is still on and she cannot say, of course, but I hope she does! Ashlee is a cake chef and blogger, and she just did an interview on Blab the other night with my friend, Melissa Reyes, and you can catch that podcast here.

Speaking of baking and cooking, did you here about Bradley Cooper's new movie? It opens today in many theaters. In the movie, bad boy Brad becomes a chef, (sigh) so that alone is making me add this movie to my list. Well when I heard about the partnership that Castello has with the Burnt movie, I thought - what a great combination! Bradley Cooper and tasty cheese - kind of like a fantasy of mine (don't judge)!
You see, I recently had the opportunity to try out Castello Cheese. (Thank you Castello for the opportunity to try your delicious cheese - entirely my own opinion.) If you have not heard of them before (like me), you will and it is another thing I am loving right now! Their Havarti cheeses are so mild and creamy that you can eat it by itself and enjoy it.

But more fun than that is to build your own charcuterie plate and enjoy it with friends while watching TV or just chilling.

Their blue cheese is a tasty and sweet balance of creamy and chunky blue cheese and I am excited to use it in some recipes soon. You can find some  tasty cheese recipes on their website. By the way, you can also enter the Castello Cheese #UnlockYourChef Sweepstakes for a chance to win the following:
  • A private cooking class in your hometown.
  • A year's worth of Castello cheese

You can enter here: http://bit.ly/1GUCRST

Official Rules and Requirements are available on their website.

Here is a clip from the movie. I cannot wait to see it!

What are some things you are loving lately? Do you want to see this movie?

Hi, I'm Raquel! I am a self-proclaimed foodie and have enjoyed cooking and baking since I was little. I loved baking cookies with my mother and grandma as a child, and later making dinners for my parents to foster my passion while in high school. I also had a passion for organizing and keeping things tidy.
