I participated in the Texas de Brazil Campaign on behalf of Wendy's Bloggers. My guests and I received complimentary meals to facilitate this post, but the opinions, creative content, and photographs are my own.
It was a seemingly ordinary Wednesday evening and my husband and I visited Texas de Brazil Irvine for the first time. Life had been busy and we were looking to enjoy a nice weeknight dinner. We were welcomed by a friendly staff member and a stunning dining room filled with color and twinkling candles, letting me know that this was going to be a memorable evening.
We were seated at a table and greeted by our knowledgeable and charming server, Orlando. He let us know about the lineup of cocktails that were available. After hearing about all the options and the variations on the national drink of Brazil, I went with the Mango infused Caipirinha.
Made with Cachaca (distilled liquor), sugarcane juice and lime, it was a flavorful and refreshing cocktail! My husband opted for the traditional Caipirinha. I sampled both and let me tell you they were both equally delicious!
If you have not been to Texas de Brazil, you are in for a treat as the dinner becomes an experience, not just a meal. Gauchos (aka servers) will bring around freshly grilled meats and served it to your plate tableside. In addition, the restaurant also offers a lovely array of accompaniments that are self-serve in the center of the restaurant.
Not to be confused as a salad bar, here you will find such lovely side options such as grilled peppers, steamed asparagus, hummus and Tabbouleh. They also offer a nice selection of soups and greens, that are truly enough to make a meal in itself and by the way, is available as such. We had a lovely Lobster Bisque and some salad and roasted peppers in attempt to not fill up before the meats arrived.
Fresh, warm Brazilian cheese bread was brought to our table as we turned our tokens over to green. The chip tokens indicate to the Gauchos that one is ready to have meat selections brought over. This is truly the fun part as you can chose not only what you would like to try, but if you would like just a little taste or a heartier portion (and yes, you can even have seconds of anything). Skewers of freshly grilled meats are savory and delicious arrived consistently. Plates of garlic mashed potatoes and plantains also magically appeared at our table.
We enjoyed plates of Herb-Marinated Pork Loin, lamb chops, Filet Mignon, chicken, and Picanha (beef top sirloin). After a sampling of meats, we discussed our favorites. For me it was the Beef Picanha. We flipped over the token to red, indicating that we were good with selections for the time being.
After enjoying our meal and even though were were a little full, we decided to try a dessert and I am happy we did.
We ordered the Bananas Foster Pie and the Coconut Chess Pie. We bid farewell to the staff but not before snagging a fun photo. It was a great experience and we will be back soon.
The experience was great and it is a perfect place for celebrations. As a matter of fact, Texas de Brazil is celebrating their 20th Anniversary and it's a perfect excuse to celebrate with them.

What a sweet photo of you with all that meat! ha! Also, the colors of the food look divine. I'm glad you had such a fun night! Both pies look equally worth it.
