Now that we're back into our fall routine, I am getting ready to decorate the house for autumn. I enjoy changing up our house decor to reflect the seasons. Partially because I want to welcome the season, but also because I get bored with the same look all the time and like looking at fresh decor.

So this past weekend I turned my wine hutch into a tea hutch. You may remember from this post a few months ago. We put together a beautiful hutch (or buffet) from Sauder for our wines and dining room accessories. I chose it from this section of the Sauder website.
It brought a nice touch of elegance and usefulness to my dining area. Here is how I initially styled it.
Now I am using it as a tea hutch. It's a way for me to display my teapots in a fun and festive way and allowing for some great storage opportunities. While I am using it in the same location, this buffet would go great in the living room or family room area.

I love that I can display my teapots on the shelf.
It's been too long since I have had a tea party so I'm planning to schedule some in the coming seasons.
I also have some nice storage options for tea, candles and tea towels. I keep my tea plates and creamer on the shelves below.
What do you think of my tea buffet?
But I would love your opinion on the lower right section. Would you leave the dividers and store things as it is, or would you remove the "X" storage divider and put something else there. I love that I have these options but would love to hear your suggestions.
I thought about using it in our kitchen to serve as a place to store cookbooks and serving dishes, but I am thinking I will do that in the future. There is so much storage space, that I have may options with this beautiful piece.
How would you style this Sauder hutch in your home?

Raquel, the x is a challenge in displaying objects, but I kind of like it. What about some wine bottles or stack different shaped plates? You could even put hooks and hang some teacups! Hmmm. I would love to see you try some different things and post online!
Raquel
Oooh I like the idea of hooks with teacups or different shaped plates. Thanks for the ideas Elizabeth!

I don't know what I'd store there! I love this, though. Maybe bowls? Something to hold little cookies and scones? Or tea itself? I don't know but I love the change you made.
Raquel
Yes, some tea tins might look really cute in there. So excited to have some extra storage space!

I love anything having to do with tea! We should go sometime and get a group together.
What about displaying tea in some manor? I find some of my nicer or more unique teas come in lovely or fun canisters.
Raquel
I love that idea of tea canisters AJ. But even more, I LOVE the idea getting a group together for tea! 🙂
