Today I want to share with you a fun and easy back to school project. I am just loving all the cute desk items, but I want to show you how I decorated some office products for only a fraction of what these would cost in an office supply store. Going back to school is more fun with decorative school supplies, don't you agree?
First I found this really nice, but plain, clipboard in the dollar section of my local discount store. This is great for note taking or writing.
I picked up some decorative contact paper and measured to cover the front of the clipboard.
I was careful to fold down the corners and seal on the other side.
To cover up the top seam, I used some decorative washi tape.
Then I took a sliver of the paper and covered up a pen.
Viola! A simple set that was made for less than $2.
This restyled clipboard not only makes a nice gift for a student, it is also a nice gift for a teacher or scout leader. You can also use scrapbook paper and clear contact paper. This would allow the use of original artwork for one of a kind set.
