At the recent Orange County Food Wine Music Festival in Dana Point, locals gathered for a wonderful day of food, music and fun.

The Food

OC Food Wine Music Festival

It was a great setup, as refreshments were well organized into sections: international wines on your left, domestic wines on your right - all poured by volunteer marines.
As you walk further into the festival, various orange county food vendors offered a variety of different menu items for purchase, everything from nachos to gumbo.

Overall, I think the festival well worth the money for the length and atmosphere you get to enjoy; especially for beer/cider enthusiasts and music lovers. Unlike some other beer & wine festivals we've been too, this one was very family (& pet) - friendly, lasting all day (7 hours in total); the entertainment options plus the nice selection of food you can buy helped breakup the crowd so you never had to wait very long for your next drink pour. In my personal opinion, the wine won't blow you away, but the average wine drinker will sufficiently happy, especially when complimented with a few beers and lots of craft shopping!  there shopp

The Refreshments

There was a lot of activity at the craft brewery section where many local breweries from around California had booths with each offering at least 2 different type of beers to taste each. They also had a lot of different types of ciders, ginger beer as well as high alcohol kombucha. Talk about something for everyone!

There was a great variety of live entertainment. In the wine section of the park, they had a DJ - which later in the day became quite popular as people crowded around to create their own dance floor. In the VIP tent, there were dueling pianos & toward the craft beer section was a large outdoor stage with cover bands who played like No Duh, Faux Fighters & 40 oz to Freedom.

    Mm...nachos and gumbo.
I definitely remember from my California days that festivals were so much better. We have incredible ones here but they are limited to just a few months. Maybe that's why they are so good! There's not a lot of time for them.

Hi, I'm Raquel! I am a self-proclaimed foodie and have enjoyed cooking and baking since I was little. I loved baking cookies with my mother and grandma as a child, and later making dinners for my parents to foster my passion while in high school. I also had a passion for organizing and keeping things tidy.
