Hello Friends! Today’s post is sponsored by a partnership with Mom it Forward. We are checking out Kelly's Clarkson's Meaning of Life album. All opinions are my own
Hi Friends! Did you watch the Music awards last night? Music has always been an important part of my life and I love how listening to a song can lift me up instantly. I have always enjoyed music and used to listen to it in my room for hours as a teen. Now I enjoy music when I am practically doing anything- cooking, driving, working out and at concerts. Songs are truly the soundtrack to my fulfilling, but sometimes hectic life. I especially appreciate upbeat music on Mondays to get me motivated for the week.
This week, I had the opportunity to listen to the new Kelly Clarkson album, Meaning of Life. I have been a fan of hers and have followed her journey since she was a contestant on American Idol. She represents a strong woman who has been through a lot and has grown up as well. Now as a mom, she truly represents an artist who is passionate about many things and is able to seemingly, do it all. Her music is just what I need for my season of life.
Kelly has graciously grown into a talented artist and has really blossomed from the twenty-year-old she was when I first started listening to her. Her music has matured as well, in my opinion. I am amazed at how many number one songs she has under her belt. I follow her on Twitter and she seems so genuine, poised and sincere as a woman and mom that I can totally relate to. I think we need more musicians like Kelly in the world.
My Thoughts on Meaning of Life Album
The album starts out with the song, A Minute, and you can hear Kelly walking in her heels to the microphone. Listening to it with my headphones gets me into a relaxing mood...
Sometimes I need to unwind
Sometimes I need some down time, hey
Sometimes I need a minute just for me
I need a minute just to be....
So true, I think we all need that time in the day to just take for ourselves.
You undoubtedly have heard Love So Soft which is about wanting to be respected and treated well. I think we all not only want respect in our relationships, but we deserve it as well. Kelly sings this with boldness and confidence that makes it a total girls club theme song.
I also really loved Slow Dance. It is about taking charge of a relationship and enjoying the slow, meaningful things. Sultry and loving, it is a song that I find myself singing along while I driving in the car. Seriously, I belt it out in the privacy in my own car.
Relationships change as you get a little older, and it is a reminder that it's the little moments with your spouse or loved one are truly the ones that can really move you. Check out the audio snippet here:
All in all, the album is another great compilation from Ms. Clarkson. Filled with confidence, determination, and fun, it is one you will be singing often. I've got it downloaded on my phone and listen to it when I am on the road and in my home. You can find Kelly's Meaning of Life here.
I think what I love about this album is the energy and strength that comes through on the songs.
It is a reminder that even after a tough day, it is a reminder of how powerful and beautiful we are right now, at this very moment.

Great post!
My favorite song on her album is Move You. I heard it before the album released from her Nashville Sessions and immediately fell in love.
Love So Soft is a fun one I love singing along with during drive time.
