A huge thanks to Wayfair for sponsoring this post! My opinion of beautiful decor and entertaining pieces is 100% my own. For more information, see my disclosures here. Today we are sharing some simple holiday decorating tips to prepare your home for the holidays with just a few simple pieces.
Have you decorated your home for the holidays yet? Honestly, entertaining and spending time with friends and family are at the top of my list this holiday season. Holiday gatherings are so much fun because we get a chance to connect and enjoy some time together.
It’s my very favorite time of the year and I can’t wait to see my home filled with sparkling lights again. I always enjoy decorating and each decorative piece holds lots of fun holiday memories. The season brings cooler temperatures and a desire for warmth and coziness.
One thing to keep in mind is that creating holiday cheer does not have to be time-consuming or complicated. All it takes is a few festive items to dress up your home.
This season I have chosen a couple of pieces from Wayfair to help decorate my holiday table. A beautifully set table is very inviting and doesn’t have to be complicated, it is all about the details.
Memories made around the table are truly the best ones in my opinion. I love how pretty and elegant my table is and the mood is fun and festive.
Holiday Decorating Tips
Candle Lights – Candles should glisten and magical and enhance the overall look. Below I am sharing a few simple tips to make your space festive and welcoming. I like to use battery operated candles so that I don’t have to worry about an open flame.
Color Scheme – It helps to have a simple color scheme so that the look is not overwhelming. Red and Green are certainly traditional, but gold, silver, white and blue also make a wonderful holiday setting. I love this white, green and gold hydrangea and berry centerpiece arrangement.
Add greenery – Fill containers such as bowls and pitchers with fragrant pine cones or colorful ornaments. Add a few flower arrangements and stems of holly or cranberries to add some festive colors.
Sweeten The Mood with Candy – Candy canes and lollipops are not just for eating. Stow a few in and around the table for a festive touch. I like to put mine on this decorative lazy susan. They have lots of these to choose from.
Light it Up – Small light threads are so beautiful in clear containers and jars. Their subtle lights glisten to add a beautiful o your decor.
Keep It Simple – You don’t need a lot of decorations, a simple aesthetic often feels more relaxing and comforting.
Music – Holiday music adds a festive vibe to the occasion. Find a playlist that fits in with the mood and amplify it during your celebrations.
I just love this beautiful arrangement that I can use year after year. I am a member of the Wayfair Blogger Program. This means I get to share some inspiring home posts with you while working with Wayfair. I am always singing Wayfair you’ve got just what I need…
