Now that September is here, I am bringing out the fall colors and decorating my home for fall. I really love to change the decor to welcome and embrace each new season. I try to decorate my home using inexpensive craft supplies in order to save money. I get inspiration for these projects from thrifty home decor blogs like Debbie’s, Pinterest, and books and magazines.
Decorating on a Budget
I usually try to use cheap supplies or better yet, items I already have around the house. It feels great to repurpose and save money. The other day, I made this cute fall sign with just a few supplies I had around the house. – a clipboard, scrapbook paper, (I have quite a bit of this leftover from my scrapbooking days) and a printed quote.
It was so easy to put this together and I love how cute and festive it is.
DIY Bedroom Decor Inspiration
I got the inspiration and instructions for this thrifty and simple craft idea from the Tana Smith’s DIY Bedroom Decor book. Tana Smith is a popular YouTube vlogger and she put together 50 unique DIY projects to bring to your bedroom. There are some cute ideas in the book for items such as a Ribbon Chandelier and Sequin Curtains that make this a great book for someone who loves to decorate. I personally think that this book is a wonderful gift idea for a creative teen or college student.
I received a complementary copy of this book and as always, all opinions are my own. This post contains an affiliate link. Where do you find your decorating inspiration?
