While it has been a blissful summer, the time has come for me to get household organization back on the priority list. Somewhere between the trips to the beach, vacation travels and summer barbeques, our upstairs hall closet has become a bit out of control. Actually, this has taken place over the last few years, and recently, as we were grabbing beach towels a couple of light bulbs and other items fell down, signaling the need for some serious closet organization.
Identifying the Need for Organization
This closet, was once home to board games, photo albums, and spare light bulbs, has now become the residence of loose photos, photo frames, gift wrap, craft supplies, extension cords, cleaning supplies and a few other random items. You may notice that these items are not in any particular order, making it hard to find things. There are also some items that are not being used, but are sitting in that closet, taking up valuable property.
I am not sure exactly how it happened, but over time it has become a cluttered and somewhat ineffective storage space. The closet has some shelving which is helpful, but belongings have been stuffed into it haphazardly and it makes it messy. I want to deal with this now, before it gets any worse. Not being sure of what is inside is another call for decluttering. Can you see the lightbulbs just laying there? While some items are in boxes, it is difficult to tell what is inside.
I am happy to say that I have some newly discovered help in this upcoming endeavor. I recently received a DYMO LabelManager160 and the DYMO Organizer Xpress Embossing Labeler to check out and put to the test and the timing could not be any better!
My messy closet does not stand a chance. The LableManager is really nice and lightweight and I can make the labels easily and quickly with different font styles. I am so ready to get started on this and share the process with you. Stay tuned as I share the steps I took, the time spent and the ways I used these helpful tools to organize this closet.
This is a sponsored conversation by me for DYMO. All opinions, photos and text are mine.
