As most of you know, I love to shop the dollar store. I wrote several posts about my dollar store crafts (look under the Frugal Fun tab), and the other day I purchased some items for Valentine’ sDay. I stopped into Dollar Tree and picked up some cute toppers,
as well as two bushes of fake roses,
this cute heart bowl,
and these these adorable heart vases.
Everything shown was $1 each.
First, I cut off the flowers,
and put a stem on each place setting
then I cut the tops off from the rest of the stems and put the buds into my glass heart bowl.
Then I put the picks into the vases and put then on a cake plate with some raffia.
This is how my table will look on Valentine’s Day:
The sweetheart candies were also from the dollar store. What do you do for Valentine’s Day?

{Melinda} How adorable is that? And cheap, too. You can’t beat that. Usually my Vday decorations amount to the flowers my hubby gives me in the center of my table!
Oh well real flowers are so nice! I’m not banking on that so I have this one just in case.
How you are able to put together something so adorable from the Dollar Store is beyond me! You’re so creative (and have a good eye. That’s what kills me. I never know what would look good together and how to actually put it all together). I am going to try a version of this on Valentine’s Day. My husband might faint from the surprise!
